First let me start by saying that my warmest feelings go to CRJ family and friends.
I personally did not get the pleasure of knowing CRJ personally, or to run on skis along with him. But as a skier, it is impossible not to know who was Cr, and to be influenced by what he did on skis. Remember the first time I saw CRJ in an MSP movie. The first time I had seen someone do a 1260 I remember sitting there completely paralyzed and just thought, wow. Is it possible! That was seen in "slow motion" sometimes to say that. After that it was just as exciting every time a movie came out to see what he was up to. I will say that he was one of the rider who has helped shape the sport we are doing. Both as a jibber and a Freeskier. For he could do it all. From hitting 4m high airs in the pipe, to shred the major lines on the mountain! An example is the big fighten he had to come back after the head injury he incurred. From being kept in a coma, waking up and barely able to communicate. To going back up on the mountain, dropping 15m cliffs with 360 It shows a love for the sport that is unique. I Believe that u can ask anyone who is above average interested in skiing if they know who CRJ is, and they will will answer yes.
RIP CRJ
I leave for the Alps pretty soon to do some filming with Field Productions, hopefully we will find better (and more) snow there than we have back home in Oppdal.
Still it is possible to find some good snow, especially in the upper slopes in Vangslia. My buddy Tore Meirik, who works for Oppdal Ski Resort, hooked us up with a snowmobile-lift to the top (thanx to lift-manager Knut!), so we did this season´s first run down to the classic Skarbekkdalen ravine.
Despite having to dodge sharkfins and dealing with a rockhard landing, we managed to get some god turns. Tore filmed some shots with his Contour HD helemtcam, and made this little edit. I think he feels pretty lucky to finally get a chance to make a ski-edit with Neil Young music!
I guess the skiing and editing ain´t too much to brag about, but this was the best we got today. That´s what so great about skiing; It´s always fun!
I will be stayng home in Oppdal the rest of this week, then it´s off to Central-Europe. And after Europe it is time for Alaska! Hopefully I will get time to update a little more often then.
Enjoy the edit and keep charging!

PS! Check out next season ´s clothes from Helly Hansen in the edit!
Winter is over, but I can still get some airtime back home in Oppdal. Even if I feel more comfortable on my skis, riding my brand new freeridebike is pretty good training for the psyche and feeling of being airborne. And most of all, it is insane fun!
This weekend the new bike park here in Oppdal opens, and my buddy Tore M., who is in charge of the bike park, took these shots when we were riding the new dropzone. Hucking on the pictures is me and Trygve Sande, who make sure I get my 4frnt sis in the winter (he is in charge of distribution in Scandinavia, and a pretty mean hucker on skis and bikes himself!).
I can't wait for winter, but freeriding on bikes is a pretty good summer-substitute for skiing. The bike park here in Oppdal have seven trails, some are machinemade and some are classic singletracks. There are jumps and possibilities for big air all over the place, and hucking off rocks and bridges with speed and flow makes it feel a lot like skiing.
Fortunately there is no avalanche danger, but dirt and rocks are a little harder than fresh norwegian pow, so I hope my ass survives the summer. Gotta be in good shape for the winter!
I will be riding my bike a lot this summer, and I look forward to big air and speed on two wheels, before winter kicks in and I get to go skiing.
Have a nice summer everyone!

I am now back in squaw wally after a week on the road. We set out with 1 mission: To fiend fresh pow and charge it!
We hit the road and went east towards Nevada. After a good 5 hour drive we arrived at a place named Elko, close to the Rubi mountains. That would be our play ground for the next 3 days. The cool thing about the Rubis is that it has easy snowmobile access. Thats a good thing, because both me and Filip are not the best sleders out there. Its for sure a place i would love to come back to. And maybe next time there will be some more snow. After breaking 1 ski and busting both my buckles on my boots we packed our gear and headed to Salt lake city for some reapers. Luckily 4frnt head office is in Salt lake, so Matt hocked me up with some new skis. Big thanks for that Matt! We spent some days skiing around the Salt lake resorts and checking out a place called Farmington. Unluckily we hit Salt lake a bit late, the wind had been hitting the snow hard.
So now we are are back in Squaw waiting for the snow thats supposed to come tonight and for the next days.
Welcome to my first blog. Took a while to get it up and running but now its good.. Will try to do my best on keeping this blog updated on what i am doing.
ATM me and Filip from are staying at Jt Holmes place in Squaw Valley. We are Waiting for the snow to come. Its supposed to snow tomorrow so we are crossing our fingers for it to happen.
This is my 4th week on the road in Canada and USA. We started out in Revelstoke, Canada. Then we spent 6 days at Mice Heli, and i must say that those 6 days were some of the sickest skiing i have ever had. Nipple deep light pow with crazy pillow lines, what more can u ask for! And it was dumping the 3 first days we were there... I am for sure going back there.
After that, we spent 6 days in Revelstoke. The weather kinda held us back there. Heavy snow fall the first days, and then it got really warm there.
I have posted some pics from the trip so far. Some taken by me and others by Filip himself. Sick dude, he can film and at the same time take pictures. Also some pictures from Endre Løvås.
